Users will have an intermittent issue with Windows 7 where the PDF generation is delayed and will see a warning in the PDF pipeline about not being able to generate PDF and also will see an error message about relying on system fonts with !FrameMaker.

Even if just using system fonts in the source document, it can cause problems for PDF generation if the Printing Preferences are not set a certain way with some systems. To resolve this, complete the following steps:

 1. Click '''Start''' -> '''Devices and Printers''' (can also be accessed from the Control Panel).

 2. Right-click the '''Adobe PDF''' icon and select '''Printing Preferences'''.

 3. Click on the '''Adobe PDF Settings''' tab.

 4. Clear the box preceding '''Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts'''.

 5. Click '''OK''' to exit the '''Adobe PDF Printing Preferences''' dialog.
