Steps

ePublisher for DITA Installation

  1. Make sure that ePublisher Pro v. 9.2.2 is already installed.
  2. Make sure that either ePublisher Express v. 9.2.2 (1.2.2) or AutoMap v. 9.2.2 is already installed.

  3. Download and install the attached file: epub-9.2.2-dita.exe.

  4. Make sure to close any ePublisher components (Pro, Express, & AutoMap) before using again.

DITA Open Tool Kit Installation

  1. If you do not already have the DITA OTK installed, then download and install the attached file: dita-ot-tools-1.2.2.exe

  2. Your DITA OTK install directory should look similar to:
    C:/ditaot/
      apache-ant-1.6.5/
      DITA-OT1.2.2/
      saxon6_5_3/

ePublisher XML Adapter Configuration

  1. Open in NotePad or an equivalent text editor any of these files:

    C:\Program Files\WebWorks\ePublisher Pro\Adapters\xml\scripts\dita\ant\env.bat
    C:\Program Files\WebWorks\ePublisher Express\Adapters\xml\scripts\dita\ant\env.bat
    C:\Program Files\WebWorks\AutoMap 9.0\Adapters\xml\scripts\dita\ant\env.bat
    This will allow ePublisher to communicate with the DITA OTK and the Java 2 SDK.
  2. If necessary, change the location of the Java 2 SDK to match your Java 2 installation.
  3. If necessary, change the location of the DITA OTK to match your DITA OTK installation location.
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_12
    set DITA_INSTALL=C:\ditaot

ePublisher Configuration Steps

  1. Open each ePublisher component and perform the following:
    1. Add the License key provided to you by your Quadralay representative. Each component (Pro, Express, AutoMap) requires a specific license key to enable DITA content publishing.

    2. In Edit / Preferences / File Mapping, set the .xml file extension to use the xml adapter.
