I cannot find any documentation or schemas for the *.wwconfig file. Is this somewhere on the site? or can the schema at least be distributed?

It's very hard to understand what all the possibilities are without this.

I'm also getting the "Could not find error" with DITA 1.3.1, Ant in a different directory. I'm using the update posted 6/14. Is this still not fixed?

FYI, I've tested the plug-in on two machines. My installation with the DITA-OT install from the WebWorks web site works fine. My installation with my own DITA-ot install (different versions and directory structure) gives the "Could not find" error. My problematic install has DITA-OT 1.3.2, j2sdk 1.4.2, apache ant 1.6.5, saxon 6.5.5--all in their own directories, not under a common directory.

Is there a work around to the "Could not find" error in the long post below? If not, do you know when the update will be available?

Does the plug-in support nested dita maps?

When I generate WebHelp 5 using ePub Pro, char fonts for Command and User input extend over the whole sentence, not just the object. This is not shown in the CHM generated through the DITA OT.

I have a ditamap that references xml files. When I try to generate output, I get no errors, but no content--just nice frames. Does the plug-in accept .xml files for DITA or only .dita files? (We've converted Frame files to XML and ditamaps.) I'm also getting the same error about not finding the get-document-components-result.xml file.

There will be an update soon that addresses this issue.

When I try to generate a help file from a ditamap, I get the following error: Could not find file 'D:\Profiles\<my ID>\Local Settings\Temp\WebWorks\XmlAdapter\597201d2-9dd1-458f-bd8f-1c42c75e1ae5\get-document-components-result.xml'. Whew! -- This happens whether I use one of the demo ditamap files provided in the C:\Program Files\WebWorks\ePublisher for DITA\DemoFiles\DemoDitaContent or one of my own files. -- The 'D:\Profiles\<my ID>\Local Settings\Temp\WebWorks\XmlAdapter folder exists but does not contain anything. -- I have done the following: - Added the appropriate Dita license key to ePub Pro. - Downloaded the Java 2 SDK (j2sdk1.3.1_13) and installed it to C:\j2sdk1.4.2_13 - Downloaded and installed epub-9.2.2-dita.exe. - Downloaded and installed dita-ot-tools-1.2.2.exe to C:\ditaot. I then replaced the DITA-OT1.2.2 files with the DITA-OT1.3.1 files. Is that an issue? - Followed the procedures in the ePub XML Adapter Configuration section (this Web site) and changed the java to 1.4.2_13. - Followed the procedures in the ePub Configuration Steps (this Web site).

At this time, ePublisher can not Publish DITA content to PDF using Word. However, we are examining several possible scenarios for allowing DITA content to be published to PDF. There are going to be many ways, including using the DOTK PDF bundle.

If you edit your DITA content in Word will WWeP be able to produce PDF output using Word as it does when you edit your content in FrameMaker?

Thanks Franz! I'll update the OT installers. I also like your suggestion about using Word 2003 to create the topics. Feel free to create a sub page if you want on this idea.

If you use the DemoStationery to create a new project with DITA content only - f. e. the DITA langref guide - you'll end up with a warning to "map topic styles". There are no styles to map in DITA files.

You should include the current DITA OT to your installation set. Included is 1.2.2, current - and available since December 2006 - is 1.3.1.

The DemoProjects work well with 1.3.1 and with 1.3.1 you can use the DITA schemas with Word 2003 and create your topic files there.

The Dita solution does not require FrameMaker. However, it does allow simultaneous conversion of Dita, FrameMaker, and Word content.

Does your Dita solution require FrameMaker 7.2, or will earlier versions also work?
