Would you consider having WW output to a wiki hosted on a SharePoint site?

Is it possible to deploy to a Sharepoint server? We want to use our existing Sharepoint system to display our internal documentation. It is possible to create a new wiki using MoinMon or MediaWiki but would prefer to use our existing company intranet, instead of creating another wiki.

We've been measuring interest in a Sharepoint offering for a while now. You can see our landing page over on the main website.

Our main goal has been to determine if folks are just interested in Sharepoint's wiki support or if they want/need something more. Sounds like all you need is ePublisher to deploy content to a Sharepoint wiki and nothing else.

Is that right?

MYOB use Sharepoint for documentation and intranet services across the whole company. It's becoming more and more integrated with everything we do internally. Two possible requirements have arisen:

1. To deploy our documentation styles and standards into a wiki format that is readily accessible to all writers.
2. To deploy our help documentation into wiki format for Agile development and review by internal consultants and support. Similar to how Webworks uses a wiki with their online help today.

So yes, to deploy and potentially provide access via Webworks help for content review.

Thanks for clarifying your use of Sharepoint there at MYOB. Regarding Sharepoint wiki features, what version of Sharepoint do you guys run? I've heard Sharepoint 2007's wiki features were rather weak. They have been greatly improved for Sharepoint 2010. Which platform do you require?

Hi Ben,

We use Sharepoint 2007, and yes the wiki is pretty basic. Not sure if or when we are upgrading to 2010. I'll try and find out.
