Run Flash animation imported in Frame 10 from the File menu
Summary
According to Adobe's documentation we should be able to import a Flash animation (.swf file) into our FrameMaker 10 source document using the File > Import > File menu, similar to importing a graphic file.
Detailed Description
When I tried this method and converted my FrameMaker document to a .chm Help file (Microsoft HTML Help format), the animation did not run. How can I get the animation to work in the Help file by importing the .swf into my FrameMaker source using the File > Import > File method?
The latest version of ePublisher should support all of FrameMaker 10 features, so it should support this feature as well.

LynnThomas | I too am running into the same problem with FrameMaker 9 where my Captivate videos do not play in the HTML presentation. I'm told that WebWorks does not support the .swf but rather I need to add raw HTML code. And if I do add it to published pages, I'll have to add it each time I generate. That defeats the purpose of using the single source features of Tech Comm suite where I can easily import the .swf into my Frame doc and publish. Is WebWorks planning to add the ability to publish .swfs anytime soon? |
