Using Relative Images between systems
Issue
When using Microsoft Word 2007 and beyond the images will link to an absolute path upon saving an image with relative linking as opposed to embedding the image
Resolution
Tested in current as of this writing Microsoft Word 2010:
Before linking be sure to go to File menu > Advanced > Web options > Files > Update on save
- Add your image that you will be linking to
- Save the file
- When sharing with other systems, make sure to include the correct directory that the image will be located
NOTE: This is something that you only have to do with generating output with versions prior to ePublisher 2012.2. You should be able to link your images with no problem (as long as the path is correct) in later versions of Microsoft Word, now.
