Using a custom header file for context-sensitive CHM output

If you are migrating from a previous Publisher 2003 project, or if your developers have provided a custom header/map file to be used for context-sensitive help in your HTML Help (CHM) output, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the custom header file into the project's Files folder.
  2. In ePublisher Pro, choose Format > Format Settings.

  3. In the "HTML Help" section, you will find an option labeled "HTML Help custom map file." In the Value field of that setting, click the small button to open the "Path Selection" window, and select your custom header file from the list.

When you regenerate your CHM output, the custom file should be deployed with your output, and your context-sensitive help should function as expected, using the same map numbers and topic IDs defined by your developers.
