Change the formatting of Table and Figure

Issue

Change the period after the table numbering to a colon

Solution

  1. Override the default.wwconfig as described in this documentation page

  2. Open in text editor and look for the following markup: 
     <wwdoc:Text value="Table {$VarTablePosition}. " />
  3. Change the period to a colon
  4. For figure numbering, repeat steps 1-3, but instead replace Figure for your searching
  5. Save and close the default.wwconfig file
  6. Save and close your project to take the overrides
  7. Reopen and regenerate so that you can see the newly created output
