JavaHelp does not recognize named CSS color

A user has defined the heading text color as "CornflowerBlue". The generated HTML files display correctly in Internet Explorer. When viewed in the JavaHelp viewer, the headings were black.

This is a result of a limitation of the JavaHelp 2.0 format itself. The HTML files appear correct in IE, so they are being built correctly by ePublisher. When we feed that content into the JavaHelp compiler, the information is not processed correctly by the JH viewer. Named colors are not supported by JavaHelp, and some other CSS attributes that are available in the Style Designer are not supported by JavaHelp. Until Sun modifies the format to support more CSS attributes, there is no real workaround, other than to avoid using unsupported attributes (for example, use RGB color values, rather than named values).
